Wendy is a member of the Ottawa Area Callers’ Association and CALLERLAB (the International Association of Square Dance Callers).  She calls regularly for 3 local square dance clubs and has done many special parties for weddings, birthdays, retirements, fundraisers, picnics, and groups of friends who just want to dance.

All singles are welcome to join as two singles will make a couple so don’t worry, you will find someone here.

Absolutely! Wendy will assume everyone there has not danced before and will teach you all the steps you need to know to join the dance.

I was there last night at the first night of a 12-week dance class], and I thought that Wendy struck the right balance as caller and teacher, presenting the new material at a speed that allowed the new dancers to absorb it and experience the fun of dancing competently. For the most part, the five squares succeeded in completing the steps and tips without breaking down; achieving that feeling of success in learning something new is exciting and a testament to Wendy's skill.
