So many people consider square dancing to be for “old” people. But it is SO not the case! Young people LOVE it! It is very social and very interactive – to begin with, you dance in groups of 8 people. Now, that’s what I call social and interactive!!
Also, it has been modernized: we don’t dress up; we don’t dance to fiddles and banjos; there are no hay bales in the corners of the room where we dance. Dancing is more upbeat… It’s hard to explain but it’s crazy fun… quite simply, you just have to try it!!!
