Square Dancing in Russell (Ontario, Canada) is going strong and we are gearing up for the second session in 2025. Dancing starts on Friday, April 11.
The cost is $86.40 if you’re a Russell resident and $96.40 if you are not. (HST is additional.)
Dancing is from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM ….
We dance at Saint Mother Teresa Catholic School, 1035 Concession St., Russell (Ages 10 and up.)
Dancers who have attended one or more previous sessions and wish to progress by adding more steps than what were taught in the Jan.31-Apr.4 session may stay for an additional half hour of lessons at no additional cost.

Modern Square Dancing
Modern Square Dancing is not what you think it is. We still Dosido and Swing our partner, but we also do things like Grand Square, Lead Right and Veer Left – and we do it to all kind of music (New Country, Old Country, Classic Rock, Top 40, Jazz, Alternative, Easy Listening, etc.). It certainly is not the dancing our grandparents did. It’s a bit more challenging and too much fun to not at least give it a try! Ages 10+.
